My name is Génesis Girón, and I am a 3D generalist by profession and a designer by passion, currently living in Guatemala.

A collective work, again, the collective of urban artists Niñas Furia made a call for graphic artists that consisted of creating a similar work live with two colleagues at the National School of Plastic Arts "Rafael Rodrigues Padilla."

I am deeply inspired by fairy tales, nature and fantastic stories; In the same way, I take inspiration from the small details and the little things in life. I spend my free time researching art and looking for new techniques and references to complement my style. I like crafts, films and the universe of alternative fashion.
Every day I paint with analogue and digital methods a variety of themes, especially sad girls and magical worlds that remain trapped in my mind and cannot forget until I translate them into a visual work.

One of the greatest pride in my career was my short film Bittersweet which was selected in some international festivals like in Bangladesh and Chile.
It was a long process and a lot of trial and error. It's been a long time and I still love the style that I managed to capture using 2D and 3D techniques.

Illustration is my favorite form of art, I love creating characters that express what I am feeling. My visual style consists of many textures and shapes with volume and depth. In my personal illustrations I usually use warm color palettes and pastels combined with the contrast of black.
Some visual artists that have inspired my aesthetic over time are: Tim Burton, Naoko Takeuchi, Hyden Williams, Mab Graves, Remedios Varo, Ai Yazawa, among many others that I'm probably forgetting.
